Nascar Pocono 500 Recap 2007
Thursday, May 22nd, 2008After a 3 hour rain delay Ryan Newman finally led the field to the green flag and the start of the Pocono 500. Newman was on the pole for the third straight week and was 7th fastest in happy hour. Forty two other drivers took a shot at breaking Denny Hamlin’s Pocono dominance as he had won both races last year at the track. But, Hamlin had already a lot to say about it as he pulled passed Newman and led the first lap. As laps started to roll Tony Stewart joined Hamlin at the front and they began to distance themselves from the rest of the field.
