What Stage Is Your Marriage In?

Wednesday, May 7th, 2008

I am certainly no expert on marriage, but I would like to share some lessons that I have learned from being married to my husband, Bobby, for 38 years. Throughout those 38 years we have experienced different stages of happiness in our marriage. I believe that those stages can be related to a person’s life.

Ruined Rural Economy - Small Investors Lull Future

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

Today, 08 Jun 2006, the Bombay Stock Exchange has recorded nearly 426 marks sharp drop in the Index. What is this gamut of rise and fall of index in the BSE? The unexpected fall of index below 10000 marks forced me to review the threat to our Small Investors (SI). Who would actually suffer? There is a need to recall the comparable leap in the Indian economy when the present PM was country’s FM. The so-called scamaster, Mr Harshad Mehta was the scapegoat of backdoor politics. Do you know what our small investors are going to suffer? I leave it to the investors’ imagination, but I am sure, the readers after going through the analysis, would be wise enough to protect their interest and hard earned money.

Handspun Fluffy Angora Yarn Knits A Fantastic Gift

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

Every item knitted from handspun Angora yarn is fluffy and soft, luxurious and comfortable. You’re sure to feel great whenever you wear your new, stylish Angora sweater”"especially because you made it! When you give a custom knitted Angora sweater, or any other item, you can be sure that your personal touch will not to unnoticed.

Wool from the Angora rabbit is famous for its silk-like texture and remarkable fluffiness. It is no wonder that people love their Angora knit sweaters and scarves. Since Angora is a natural fiber, it breathes easily and has some elasticity. Angora yarn does not scratch like many other forms of wool, which means that even the pickiest wearer of sweaters will enjoy wearing garments made from handspun Angora yarn.

Elijah-quality Faith

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

Elijah said, “How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow Him.” The same thing goes for Christ-followers: How can we follow Him as Lord unless we know Him as Lord? If we know Him as Lord, it will be irresistible for us to honor Him as Lord. There’s no way around it.

The most dependable way to confirm that Jesus is Lord is to obey His direct commands right away and then continue thus until further notice. A genuine desire to obey Christ is useful; this way we’ll stop and listen long enough to know what it is He is commanding us.

Gadgets For The Great Outdoors

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

If reports are to believed, most of the western world spend their free time staring at the television, playing video games or surfing the net for hours on end. While that may be some people’s idea of a good time, many of us would rather spend our leisure time outside, taking on the challenges nature has to offer. Whether you enjoy mountain climbing, camping, or just the occasional picnic in the countryside, there’s no denying the great outdoors is far more interesting than anything TV or the internet has to offer.

Systemic Abuse - The Challenge Facing Domestic Abuse Survivors

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

I lived systemic abuse; I write about it, I know it from the core of my being. But, I never understood it so thoroughly until I was asked to explain it to someone whose life was altered dramatically by it.

What is “systemic abuse?” The word “systemic” is defined as “relating to or referring to the whole organism.”

I liken systemic abuse to any systemic disease. It erodes the very elements that sustain the organism. Systemic abuse, as I see it, is the manifestation of abuse by that deemed to protect the abused. The net result: the perpetuation of domestic violence by the very systems that purport to stop it.

Chinese Market Crumbles In Massive Meltdown And Mangling Of Market

Friday, April 4th, 2008

The largest drop in the Chinese Stock Market has occurred as the market crumbled in a horrific and devastating meltdown. Former Federal Chairman Alan Greenspan warned about this a couple of weeks ago and still no one listened. The Shanghai Composite Index has been slammed into submission. It is a wonder how people actually believed that it would never go down and continue to climb forever.

Indeed this irrational hopefulness is always a sign of a market top. Increased regulations to control the gambling casino came too late and the triple taxing trick of Chinese regulators to try to bring some reality into play did not work. A 20% drop in one-week was predicted was about what the Online Think Tank predicted and believe we shall see another minimum of 4% dip.

“Why not choose a destination wedding?” should be the question. Destination weddings are becoming so popular that planning one is almost a no-brainer. You get a picture-book wedding setting and a vacation to boot – and your guests will love it!

Below are the top five reasons that you should consider planning a get-away wedding.

1. You get to leave all your “cares” at home and leave the details to others.

Another 50 Billion Dollars For Iraq

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

I woke up this morning thinking about Iraq. Last night I learned President Bush has asked for another 50 billion dollars to cover the cost of the Iraq war. Some news agencies report the cost of the war is now at 3 billion dollars a week.

How much more suffering can be inflicted on the Iraqi people for another 50 billion? How many more American soldiers will be killed while spending that 50 billion? Who is going to get that 50 billion dollars? What is not being done in this country because another 50 billion is going to someone waiting in Iraq?
