ADHD is not the end of the world. ADHD is not a death sentence. Most of all, it is certainly not a foreign, unknown disorder or illness!
Yet so many people’s relationships change with their children once they are diagnosed with ADHD.
The role as parent can quickly go from being supportive, loving, nurturing, and available to that of adversarial.
Now, it’s not that love, support, nurture, and being available are no longer there. Rather, it’s just typically that the parent shifts into a more defensive role.
And who can blame them?

I met Tammy when I was substitute teaching. Tammy was twelve years old, nonverbal, without any viable communication system; she did not talk, sign, select, or point to desired pictures or objects and appeared unable to discriminate. Tammy refused to participate in activities. She resisted assistance. She was angry, shut down. Tammy had been in the school for years and her progress was abysmal. Staffers reported that they had never heard Tammy talk; however, they told me her mother reported that she talked at home on occasion.

There is no doubt that extra sensory perception is a lifesaver in difficult life situations. But when the crisis is over and your 6th sense is still in overdrive, it is time to give it a rest. Intuiting everyday events and translating psychic messages all the time leads to list of various burn -out and fatigue problems. Nothing feels better than a breath of fresh air that is filled with soothing, nurturing, positive thought patterns. The best place to get it is in nature whether out in the country or in a city park or back yard.

The grooming and training of young children in the Christian Homeschool all have a long term purpose – to raise strong Godly young men and woman who will go into the world with confidence, abilities and highly honed skills in their field. This does not preclude the understanding that our first desire is that they know God and His plan for their life and seek to serve Him in all they do.

Homeschooling is an alternative form of education that is now fast growing. There are approximately more than two million people worldwide today that undergo homeschooling. It completely fills up the role of institutional learning. In homeschooling, both parents and their children determine the extent of their learning.
Everybody can avail of homeschooling. Homeschooling can be very convenient for single parents who run a home business. They can have their kids to help them as well. Children of disabled parents can be tapped to take on a medical profession or one that involves social services.

1. In general, it’s better not to guess on a question
Actually, this is partially true. If you are totally stumped on a question and cannot even eliminate a single answer choice, then yes, you should omit the question. However, if you can eliminate even one choice, it is statistically to your advantage to guess among the four choices on that question. The College Board applies a “guessing penalty” of one-quarter of a question per missed question and does not penalize for omitted questions, so guess accordingly.

Not all academic underachievers are alike. The problem of under achievement is a symptom - like a stomach ache - that can have many different causes, each of which requires a different solution.
Consider a random sample of, say, 100 students (from about 3rd grade through graduate school) whom we would identify as “underachievers.” If we carefully assess each one, we will find that there are many different underlying causes. These can include ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), LD (Learning Disability), various medical problems, ability issues, significant emotional or psychological problems, situational problems (such as parental illness or divorce), academic problems (such as not being prepared for certain courses, or not having effective study skills), and others. A student can also underachieve because the orientation and teaching style of the school is not consistent with student’s learning style or cognitive pattern of strengths and weaknesses.

If there is a single concept which has revolutionized the car industry in recent years, it is the idea of leasing a vehicle rather than owning it. Nowhere has this been seen more dramatically than in the business sector where leasing is now the standard for car ownership.
Leasing for boats has been available in Europe for several years, but it is a purchasing option that is little understood by the boating community in general, and particularly in the UK, despite the fact that it can offer significant VAT advantages whether the vessel is used for private or commercial use. The two most popular schemes are those used in Italy and France.

Probably the most well-known book about creating wealth also happens to be one of the best, if not the best. Think and Grow Rich was written by Napolean Hill in 1960 at the behest of Andrew Carnegie.
Carnegie, who amassed his fortune in steel, is one of the richest people to have ever lived; the book contains his secret for creating wealth. Think and Grow Rich is one of the best-selling books of all time. It is now in its twentieth printing.
Among the people who used Carnegie’s secret in their own endeavors are Henry Ford, Charles Schwab, Theodore Roosevelt, Wilbur Wright, John D. Rockefeller, Thomas Edison, Woodrow Wilson, and Alexander Graham Bell.
